Mi01 Tracer activation

Congratulations on purchasing your Moving Intelligence Mi01 Tracer.

The Mi01 Tracer is a after-theft tracing system with European coverage. This systems means your property is traceable in case it has been stolen.

You can quickly and easily activate the tracer yourself. Follow the steps below to activate your tracer and create an online account.

The Mi01 Tracer system is activated by rotating the unit ten times through 180 degrees.

STEP 1: Activate tracer
Important:
The Mi01 Tracer system is activated by rotating the unit ten times through 180 degrees.

Hold the tracer in your hand with the three arrows pointing upwards.

Rotate the tracer so the arrows point downwards then back up. Do this five times.

Wait 15 minutes so that the power caps can fully charge and the tracer can connect to our server.

1. Go to app.movingintelligence.com
2. Click on REGISTER and register yourself
3. In the email, click on the link “complete registration"
4. Log into the Moving Intelligence platform - app.movingintelligence.com
5. Enter the activation code that is on the inlay in the package or that you have received by e-mail.
6. Perform the required steps
7. Complete your order
8. The Mi01 Tracer has now been activated
9. Download the Moving Intelligence app - see step 3.

2. Log into your account
3. Go to manage - objects - add object
4. Enter your activation code
5. Perform the required steps

STEP 3: Download app

Download the MiApp and log in with your account. This will let you see the latest locations of your tracer at any time.

STEP 2: Installation instructions

The internal battery means the tracer can be mounted in any number of places in a property. When fitting, please observe the following guidelines.

Fitting:
Always hide the Mi01 Tracer in the interior of the vehicle away from heat sources, potentially damp places, metal obstructions and reflective or heated windscreens.

Guidelines and recommendations:
- - For the best GPS/GSM reception, the Mi01 should be mounted horizontally and you should ensure the vehicle (or object) is outdoors.
- - Mount the tracer in a non-obvious location.
- - The location of the tracer should not be accessible without needing to use tools.
- - Do not place the Mi01 Tracer directly on or alongside metal or cable looms - leave a gap of at least 5 centimetres.
- - Wait until you have completed the following test procedure before refitting the interior components.
Test procedure:
1. Notify SCM (Dutch Institute for Certification of Vehicle Security Systems) of the installation (before 3pm on the day prior to installation)
2. Activate the Mi01 Tracer (see step 1)
3. Install the Mi01 tracer (see Fitting)
4. After activating the device as described in step 1, it can take around 15 minutes before the system can be tested. Note: the first test is always without GPS.
5. Start the MiDealer app or test the device via the online Moving Intelligence platform.
6. Select Installation
7. Enter license plate (if known)
8. Place tick in Must be SCM certified box
9. Enter the SCM Certificate number and click on next.
10. Enter the Mi serial number manually, or scan the QR code on the Mi01 Tracer for the Mi serial number to be entered automatically.
11. Enter customer email address and click on next.
12. During the test, the system will attempt a GPS positioning fix every 15 minutes and send it to Moving Intelligence.
13. The test verifies whether the Mi01 checks in and whether the quality of the GSM and GPS signals are adequate.
14. A green tick will indicate when a part of the test has been successful. As soon as everything is OK you can complete the test.
15. The activation code will be displayed and be emailed to the customer.
16. The activation code supplied in the box must be torn from the inlay. This is because the customer will receive a new activation code by email when then test has been completed.
Error message, technical fault or any questions?

If the GSM and/or the GPS test are unsuccessful, then the reason may be the installation location. Move the device to a different location and wait to see if the next reading is OK. Note: the first test is always without GPS.

Possible error messages during the test:

“Initial connection has not yet been made. The ‘shake’ may not have been performed correctly; try again.”
- You will receive this message if the system has not checked in, which may occur because the activation procedure in step 1 was not performed correctly or the system has not yet had enough time to check in.
“Incorrect system status, unable to run test.”
- You will receive this message if the administrative status of the system is incorrect. Please get in touch with Moving Intelligence.
